Bug Report: Messages flicker after fading

Been trying to troubleshoot this for a while but to no avail, was wondering if any guidance could be suggested.

After things were working cleanly for a long while, I've been having a problem for a few weeks where some messages will flicker back to 100% opacity shortly after fading. It's not consistent, and not every message. I haven't been able to fix this by adjusting settings or reinstalling. Is there any way to get further info about what might be happening here and how to fix it?

Was relieved when I found somebody else experiencing this issue, it was driving me crazy.

Unfortunately, while the solution worked initially, the flickering is back, which is very frustrating.

I also have found that the button that lets me save alterations to the style no longer shows up on the widget editing page, and I have been unable to even tweak the settings again to see if a change of timing on the message fade would help.

are you sure you're running the widget that has the modified CSS?
