Display name/nickname replacements?

Would it be possible for there to be an option to replace specified usernames with a nickname? I have several users in my community who go by different names than their Twitch usernames, and it would be nice to be able to set that if a message comes in from UsernameA, it displays on the overlay as being from NicknameA.

yea that's technically possible
could be a good middleware mod, if I'm able to implement a modding system for custom middleware that transforms the chat data before sending it to the widget so that it's an optional piece that can be used in any widget
